So, Chris Huhne is to be charged with perverting the course of justice, and has now resigned as Minister for Energy and Climate Change: Guido has the exchange of letters.
Your humble Devil would just like to say, for the record...
Aaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha! Aaaaaahahahaha! Aha! Ha ha! Ha.
*pause for breath*
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Aahahahahaha! etc.
UPDATE: whilst Guido and Neo-Guido might have more cause for celebration than many, inspired by their celebration the wife and I shall, nevertheless, be buying a bottle of bubbly and toasting Huhne's resignation tonight. Your humble Devil will post a picture later...

DK how did I guess you would be first of my fav bloggers to post on this?.....
Lets hope his replacement isn't a fan of workers collective windfarms.
It couldn't happen to a more deserving bastard.
So I'll have to pop in on the way home to purchase a bottle or two of bubbly! :)
Z.
No, lets hope the heating in his cell is wind powered.
Great news! But he'll probably be back in cabinet a year or two from now.
Brussels?
Hmmm,maybe.

Unfortunately, Ed Davey is every bit as "green" and keen on bird-choppers and massive energy bills as the deeply-unlamented Mr Huhne.
Too public to let it go quietly under the carpet. It took the plods a damn long time to get the dope on him to the CPS. Let's hope the replacemenmt isn't a wind obsessed green lunatic like Huhne.
Whilst happy that Huhne is taken down, there really is a problem with this.
Most people do not regard speeding as a crime in any real sense-i.e. there is no "moral" wrong to it unless it is dangerous. This speeding was on a motorway and almost certainly was not dangerous. The "crime" is therefore effectively an administrative offence.
That being the case there is no way in which trying to avoid the administrative penalty is, in fact, an attempt to pervert the course of justice-because there is no question of there being "justice" involved in the original offence. It is administrative-and therefore it is effectively akin to tax avoidance.
Discuss (but not on the basis that Huhne is deeply unpleasant and we all wish him ill-that's a given).
New word for consideration : - huhnebristic.
