Last month I posted about recession porn - the bizarre fantasy endorsed by certain newspaper pundits that economic collapse will somehow wash our sins away. One of the biggest culprits is Guardian wingnut George Monbiot who, this time last year, announced:
Bring on the recession
I hope that the recession now being forecast by some economists materialises
Showing all the consistency and reliability of his beloved computer climate models, Moonbat has now had a dramatic change of heart, writing in The Guardian yesterday:
I’m not going to suggest, as some scoundrel who shares a name with me did on these pages last year, that we should welcome a recession.
Quite right George. That scoundrel should be sacked. Thank God no one pays any attention to a word he writes.
If Moonbat could follow this unexpected glimmer of sanity by stating that he no longer believes that flying is "as unacceptable as child abuse" or that the world should be ruled by a single government then there might be some hope for the mad old crank yet.
