I started to peruse her YouTube channel and found a few other gems: I think that I will end up buying the album. Anyway, here's another taster: Poison Prince...
Rather splendid, no?
Making everyone happy is impossible. Pissing them off is a piece of cake. I like cake.
I think that we can all agree that the UK's response to coronavirus has been somewhat lacking. In fact, many people asserted that our de...

shes very good,
Not really my thing, though she's got a great voice- and stunning to boot.
Album is stunning, one of the best in the last year or so, imho. Well worth it. And you would!
if you like that try Sons and Daughters...

Actually this link is probably a better S&D track
Hers was the first album in ages that I actually bought. Highly recommended. Aside of the two tracks you featured, I really like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTDYa7-6dRY as well.
Rather splendid, no?
By the gods, no. You'll be recommending the fucking Hoosiers next.
I do hope she keeps here head together and doesn't end up like the other Amy.
Don't forget DIDO. Her "white Flag" and "life for rent" are superb. White flag could be the anthem for the liberty loving English, after ten years of a socialist government.

IMHO best female singer/songwriter of the last decade but never gets the recognition.

I've liked Amy McDonald's music for a while now. I give both of those tracks the thumbs up, and also 'Mr Rock 'n' Roll', her first hit.
Thea Gilmore too.
To all those pushing Thea,
My father introduced me to Thea in 2003 (he'd heard her playing on Radio 2) and I have pushed her on this blog a couple of times: September 2005, November 2006 and January 2008.
I assume that you've all bought her latest album, LieJacker...? It's not bad, but I need to listen to it more.
It's rather got pushed aside by the fact that my brother is in one of his prolific periods: he's given me twenty new songs in the last month...

The musical content is'nt exactly ground-breaking. In fact I counted barely six chord changes.
Still, she's better than that other Amy....Amy Weinhouce.
Amy is very popular across the Channle and has appeared on French TV's equivalent of Jools Holland a few times.
