I won’t lie; it’s a depressing book. I burst into small tears of relief at the end when Klein managed to carve out some signs of hope for the world, a light at the end of the tunnel for democracy and justice in light of the past 30 years, which is best described as a long-range racketeering scheme of the wealthiest designed to loot the assets of the poor and the middle class until we have nothing.
Mind you, that's only because, as far as I know, Private Eye doesn't have a Dim Paranoid Socialist Tarts Corner.

Perhaps I ought to get in touch with Naomi; I am avowedly upper-working class, I have worked reasonably hard and with a modicum of luck am considerably better off than I was when I left home (when I had sweet fuck-all).
Am I just a blip?
It brought a tear to my eye too DK old bean
Dear Naomi was having a delightful and totally ignorant rant against he world
she would have made a wonderful marxist in the days when it fashionable to be one
economic facts , trends etc are not for her
she is all emotion and indignation
let her have her moment of self indulgent drivel
at least its just a rant and she doesn't have the power to herd us all off into camps or Siberia ---
