As they like to move these things around a bit, I have also uploaded the PDF report [2.1MB] to my server.
This Table, which occurs on page 23 of the report (page 37 of the PDF) shows the total expenditure, which comes in at a whopping £586.6 billion for 2006/07.

Don't worry, I am sure that the government is spending every penny as parsimoniously and wisely as it can.
What I cannot find, at present, is tax receipts: anyone know where to find them?
UPDATE: I've found them at HMRC. Once again, I have uploaded the relevent PDF [45KB] to my server. However, it is only one page containing the Table below.

Just doing this as a public service, you understand...

DK, I include the most important statistics (spending, tax, welfare etc) in the "Statistics and stuff" section on my blog. It's always helpful to start off with facts before having an argument.
This government proudly boasts that they are spending £10,000 per man, woman and child per year. Hands up anybody who thinks they are getting value for money.
I don't earn massive amounts but I pay more than £10,000 in taxes each year and get less than £10,000 of services from HMG.
Hey DK... I've done up some charts based on HMRC's own data.
Enjoy ;-)
