The Conservative Caliphate

His Grace, the Archbishop Cramner, has an excellent post on the Conservative Caliphate Muslim Forum.
The Conservative Muslim Forum, a body established by Michael Howard and supported by David Cameron to advise the Conservatives on Muslim issues, has articulated some of its policy demands. In summary: Iran has a right to nuclear weapons, the Party should cease its support for Israel, a compulsory history curriculum in schools should give ‘full recognition to the massive contribution that Islam has made to the development of Western civilisation’, and preachers who advocate a rejection of democracy and its institutions should not be denied entry into Britain. They even support al-Qaradawi’s message of ‘gay-hate’.

All of these things are utterly unacceptable. Utterly.
By giving Iran nuclear weapons, they facilitate President Ahmadinejad’s desire to ‘wipe Israel off the map’. By juxtaposing Iran and Israel, they suggest moral equivalence, yet one is a democratic nation which recognises the rights of minorities; the other is a barbarous totalitarian theocracy which executes women and children. By allowing them input into the history curriculum, they will be able to brainwash children with the ‘massive contribution’ Islam has made to Western civilisation, when in reality it could be summed up in a few lines (if not two words). By defending Iran, they give succour to Holocaust-deniers. And by advocating the admission of Muslim preachers who wish to destroy British democracy, they fuel the flames of the Islamist agenda and offer them the Conservative brand in support of a totalitarian Shari’a system. The rights and liberties of the British people are inalienable, and the Conservative Party above all parties should stand in their defence.

Do go and read the rest of His Grace's post...

to be fair to the conservatives, this is just one of many policy think tanks that they've set up to come up with policies and ideas. and i'm pretty sure they've rejected the recommendations of this Caliphate Forum.

having said that - they could have just hired Ed Hussain, author of the "Islamist" to get the inside track on islamic radicalism and how to combat it.

Regardless of if the suggestions/demands are rejected or not, the fact is the think septic tank actually had the brass neck to put them forward. The rot is in place. That part of the Conservative foundation is rotten to the core and will be of no use when push comes to shove. The fifth column is inside the gates of Castle Tory.

Let us revise how Islam made a contribution - erm, it held on to Ancient Western Civilisation for a few hundred years (while it was actually responsible for trashing a vast section of it in the shape of Byzantium) until it slit its own intellectual throat just as the West was beginning to wake up again.

I wonder if Islam had not invaded the Byzantine Empire if Western Civilisation would not have continued in the East anyhow.

"a compulsory history curriculum in schools should give ‘full recognition to the massive contribution that Islam has made to the development of Western civilisation’"

I can live with that, it won't take long. I just expect that there is also a compulsory history curriculum on Mohammed, detailing his banditry, murders, charlatan revelations and a discussion around whether or not he was a paedophile. Similarly there should be compulsory study of the expansion of Islam. Discussions on Islamic attitudes to women, gays, non-Muslims, free speech, etc. English literature should include the "Satanic Verses", a book that should be there on literary merit, I'd rank it in my top ten.

If this was all taught in scools, non-muslim children would see Islam for what it truly is, a violent, irrational cult that was dreamed up by a murderous, thieving, little girl loving charlatan with about as much credibility as David Koresh or Jim Jones.

When can we expect to hear from the Conservative Jewish Forum, the Conservative Budhist Forum, the Conservative Atheists Forum, the Conservative Witches Forum, etc? Not anytime soon I wouldn't wonder because the tories don't wish to suck up to these groups. And why don't they want to suck up to these groups? Because they have chosen to demonstrate that they are alienated from society (diddums, get over it) by blowing up innocent people going about their normal business.

Can you please stop with this ‘wipe Israel off the map’ crap. This (mis)translation was discredited as far back as May last year.
and again here
Ahmadinejad may be a total cunt but let’s not resort to putting words in his mouth.
