Recess for the NHS Blog Doctor

The good Doctor Crippen is suffering from blogging fatigue.
... the part of NHS BLOG DOCTOR that I value the most, the muse, such as it was, has deserted. A thousand words or so a day, which I have managed usually with pleasure for nineteen months has suddenly become impossibly demanding.

Time to recharge the batteries.

So, NHS BLOG DOCTOR is going into recess.

The good Doctor promises to be back in the autumn; your humble Devil sincerely hopes that Crippen does, indeed return. In the meantime, Dr Rant will be hosting the weekly Britmeds Roundup.

It is at times like these that I wonder quite how it is that I have continued to churn out thousands of words a week for over two and a half years; truly, one feels like something of a political blogging veteran...

Yes, you're absolutely right. I'm must be very burdensome to constantly write and maintain enthusiasm and quality. You have done so and should congratulate yourself on your achievement.

Certainly your blog brightens my day, and I'm sure those of many others. I may not always agree, but I am always interested or entertained. So I'll just enter a plea that you should continue the good work.

All the medical bloggers worked their way up to a crescendo over Hewitt and have now collapsed exhausted and spent. It will take time for them to girth their loins and enter the fray again.
There is a lot going on but its all being done quietly. News this week that ATOS - the French company taking over NHS imaging in the South West and up t'North has been dumped scarcely made the news.

Oh yeah? So what has happened for the last ten years, exactly?
