As you might have noticed, I have been doing some admin and I have finally been able to switch to the new version of Blogger. One of the things that this allows me to do is to use one of the many domain names that I have to point my blog properly.

You can now find The Kitchen at and don't worry about any old links: they will all still work. And if you want to try this yourself, there are instructions here.

DK, Call me stupid but I don't see the point of having your own domain just linking to the blogspot one. I could understand if your data was there for you to look after and not have to rely on Blogger but it's not.

What do you actually get out of it besides a change in the address bar and kudos for having your own domain?

Not trying to be funny but I found it strange when I looked at it when it came out and coudn't see a benefit.

btw : I am thinking of moving mine to my ISP and one of my subdomains but I'll be moving to wordpress at the same time. But thats because I want control.

off topic. Very good on 18DS tonight DK.

A career in media beckons if you wanted to make the change. You are a natural at it.

There is a kudos, naturally, and I've had various DK domains hanging around for a while. However, I have also been toying with WordPress and it gets people used to the idea should I decide to change (it also keeps those Google rankings up if I flit).

Thank you. I have to say that, being a vain man, I do rather enjoy being in front of the cameras...!

Oh yeah? So what has happened for the last ten years, exactly?

Over at the ASI, they are posting some of the winning entries of the Young Writers on Liberty. One does not want to put such keen minds off,...
