A few admin notes for you all; I shall be blogging today but
Given the above, I may not be on the ball. However, if Blogger is still playing up—and given that I don't have time to try repeatedly to publish my posts—you may find me posting at The Devil's Kitchen WordPress Edition for today (this is not a permanent home, so don't bookmark it). On the other hand, if Blogger have sorted out their problems, I'll be posting here, as usual.
UPDATE: Blogger appears to be playing ball again, so service as normal (for now).
- I have a couple of assessments to write,
- and a couple of sites to build
- and my post on UKIP's Tax Policy Note to write and,
- Blogger is playing up. Surprise, surprise.

Blogger is a pain in the ass.
I've found, though, that it sometimes helps, when you've sat waiting for a minute or two for a post to publish, to go back to the "edit posts" page, select a short (one-line) post from the archived list, and "edit" and republish that instead; it still takes a while, but it works.
I moved to WordPress a while back and I have to say I was very impressed. The standard templates are pants, but you can find some decent ones if you search around.
Switching templates is a doddle and there are more plugins than you could shake a stick at.
The import from blogger for me worked first time... No problems at all.
Stick with it, you won't regret it.
It is worth getting your own web space with PHP and MySQL support.

Mr Eugenides advice is sound but still the bugger is playing up something awful and I have now found an interesting phenomenon. When I post a Byronesque poem vilifying Blogger or get all film conscious and scathing about them, Blogger allows it. When I try to post a serious piece, it ties me up in convolution. Bstds.
Yeah, to give WordPress. com their due, there probably are 2–3 million words on here to import (if not more)...
