Devil's Advocate #5

Morally, to be able to demand that our right to free speech be respected, we have a duty to carefully consider all that is said to us.

Thus, although we should fight to protect Nick Griffin's right to make unpleasant and racist statements, we have a duty to think about those statements and to understand why they are unpleasant rather than blindly accepting what can, at times, seem plausible and, even, sensible ideas.
