Out to get you: James

I’m so alone tonight
My bed feels larger than when I was small
Lost in memories, lost in all the sheets and all old pillows
So alone tonight, miss you more than I will let you know
Miss the outline of your back, miss you breathing down my neck
All out to get you, once again, they’re all out to get you, once again

Insecure, what ya gonna do
Feel so small, they could step on you
Called you up, answer machine, when the human touch
Is what I need, what I need is you, I need you

Looked in the mirror, I don’t know who I am any more
The face is familiar, but the eyes, the eyes give it all away
They’re all out to get you, once again, they’re all out to get you
Here they come again

Insecure, what ya gonna do
Feel so small, they could step on you
Called you up, answer machine, when the human touch
Is what I need, what I need is you

Let me breathe, if you’d let me breathe
They’re all out to get you, once again, they’re all out to get you

I know the feeling all too well, DK. I hope it passes soon.

Aww. I can heartily recommend moving the duvet to a settee opposite the TV, and just using the cold, empty bedroom to store things - like unironed work shirts, recycling bags, etc.

oh years ago, I remember that. And good you quoted some lyrics. Bob Dylan .." if you find someone who gives you all of your love, take it don't turn away" ...
and that made a big impact on me at the time. Mind, you.. it was rubbish advice as we're still together all these (more than 20) years later and I still fantasise about gals that I REALLY fancied!

In response to your previous post, Chris, if I were adept at meeting women, I wouldn't be up at 3am weeping tears of rage over minor news stories, and spend my Saturday nights trying to come up with words that rhyme with "oleaginous twat".
