I have a new bit of artwork to do for an amateur production of Anthony Neilson's Stitching. As an interesting project, I had intended to publish the interim stages on this 'blog and then to invite comment and feedback.
However, I feel that this would dilute the purpose of The Devil's Kitchen, and so I have started a Triptych Media weblog. The 'blog will be dedicated to design, for both print and web, and—as well as playing host to the continuing evolution of the Stitching poster—can also act as a repository for design and programming tips.
I am starting to process the photos now (always the longest and most tedious part of any artwork), and will hopefully post the first stage of the Stitching artwork in the next couple of days. A couple of friends are also in the process of converting a room into gallery space and they have invited submissions. I would like to use the Stitching creation process as a narrative around the space, running through the stages of development and attaching your comments to each stage. We shall see...
As well as comments on the artwork, I am also looking for anyone who would like either to contribute ideas and tips or who would like to be a member of the 'blog team. If anyone is interested, please feel free to email me: chris AT triptychmedia DOT co DOT uk
