Making everyone happy is impossible. Pissing them off is a piece of cake. I like cake.
I did, too! Freelance book editors go through the same shitty hoops.
That is bloody brilliant.True.
I've actually had a client say that Microsoft Word thing to me before.P.S. Thanks for the link, DK.
It's so funny because it is true. I have heard many of those "arguments" from clients, but one I experienced that ought to be in there was when I was preparing a website for a client. The client told me that her teenage son could help me with it.'He's a web designer?' I asked.'Oh no, he just surfs the web.' She told me. 'He sees a lot of sites and can advise you on what's good.'I declined the kind offer, but I did learn some weeks later this "expert" had in fact been going into his mother's office when she was out and downloading porn.Still, I suppose that did make him knowledgeable in one way.
"but I did learn some weeks later this "expert" had in fact been going into his mother's office when she was out and downloading porn."Another youngster who doesn't know as much as they think they do. My 20 something niece was trying (unsuccessfully) to assure me that Facebook is completely safe, and doesn't harbour any "nasties". Then she seemed horrified when I told her I might be checking up on what she had been looking at, (on our computer). Seems she wasn't aware of the browsers "History" function. Doh!!!!
Yes. This is so familiar. Ignorant tightwads who want a professional job done for sod all in double jig time. ROFL.
That sounds pretty familiar to my day to day existance too...
Time and again and again and again to me this past 10 years. Ignorant, tightwad assholes. How many times have I been fed the "jam tomorrow" proposition? And done it anyway even though I knew it was total bollocks and because I'm a pussy. That's why I've got out. Grrrr...
A 'client' is someone who has the last word without having the first fucking clue, believe me I know.
