Graphic Designer vs. Client #2

Once again via Bob's Head Revisited, here is the second video in this series...

"There is a great font called Comic Sans in Microsoft Word."

Just in case you don't know how graphic designers—who tend to be colossal snobs at the best of times—feel about Comic Sans, here's a clue.

Remember, only you can stop the bunny-punchings...

My most long-standing client had ALL their stuff in Comic Sans when first we met. With pound signs in my eyes, we changed all that right away. Unlike the wanker in the clip (representative of 90% of clients in my experience), these guys took on all my suggestions (and even piss-taking) readily and with good grace, and rarely questioned bills. That's why we've been together so long and even produced some pretty decent stuff occasionally.

I went to a Disinfecting Parliament session at the conference and most voted it a load of bollocks.

I must confess I cannot stand graphic designers; there usually a bunch of arrogant upstarts who know nothing about IT and buy into overpriced/overrated Apple products, because they were taught to do so.

Though I could not agree more about comic sans being the font of dimwits and juveniles.
