The Devil's whereabouts...

Posted by Devil's Kitchen at 8/14/2009 04:31:00 PM

Your humble Devil apologises for the lack of communication; I did try to post via email but it doesn't seemed to have worked properly. I am in Cyprus—where data charges are horrendous—and so not keeping up with the news.

For those who are interested, young Bella Gerens and I got married this morning, with a very simple ceremony in Larnaka (where we are staying).

Having desported ourselves in the sea and burning sun this afternoon, your humble Devil is sat on the balcony, drinking beer and reading The Fountainhead, whilst Bella naps within.

We shall be back on Thursday next week. Until then...

Grats mate.

Take it from me - nothing annoys proseletizing deists more than a pair of rational atheists getting married without their 'god'!

All the best and good luck. Plus have an exquisitely drunken honeymoon!

Fantastic News! I am soooo happy for you.

My G/F is an American on a T1 (HSMP) Visa and I know the paper work is a nightmare!
She moved here because I have a son from a first marriage and being the great woman she is she didnt want my 9yr old to choose between here or Arizona!
Mad! But I love her more for it!

I said she should have just taped herself underneath a Bus full of Immigration Officers and be done with it, but oh no, she wanted to do it properly and give Gordo his tax.

We are planning to get married next year. I will reference your blog in detail then!

Americans aren't all bad your DK's blog is a great piece of work!

Right time for a nice dose of STFU... Congrats to you both! Enjoy!!!

Hearty congratulations,
Mike

Having read both blogs, Bella is getting the shitty end of the stick ;o)

One minor problem. Having publicised her travails on both blogs you can expect the home office to crawl up both your arses with a microscope. Especially since
a) you don't support Labour
b) you don't support government (esp. you don't support the civil service)
c)The timing is all too convenient (sorry)

Have some experience dealing with the home office, and plenty dealing with spin and bullshit. If I can help, let me know.

Jorb

P.s. Larnaka is to Cyprus what Blakpool is to the UK (with gangmaster included). Get to Paphos, or even Nicosia. Relatively unspoilt. at least it was 2 yrs ago. Lovely

As for us Deists all I can say is thus; God doesn't exist in the ceremony (or lack thereof), he exists in the love that these 2 people have for one another - you cannot remove him from "presiding" over this.

God bless you both.
