Obeying the rules

Here's an entertaining US libertarian video, which can be summed up with this quote.
Instead of following your dreams, obey these rules! Why? Because we're the government and you're not...

Enjoy!

Don't you love the state yet? And remember, don't cause trouble by asking your goverment embarrassing questions...

very good - a video like that is badly needed over here.

is the UK Libertarian Party planning to do their own viral videos, like this one?

It's a lot better than the garbage put out by the main parties. As an original hippy, I have to say that there is nothing in it that the counter-culture wasn't saying 40 years ago.

Then, we all got a bit high, Jerry Rubin became a capitalist and not a lot changed.

Mabe Aaron Sorkin will make a film about it, with Sascha Baron Cohen as Abbie Hoffman. All the liberals will stand up and cheer and feel good about the land of the free and America will carry on as it always has.

That is fucking superb, DK.

The Libertarian Party has every intention of doing so and has had that intention even before launch.

what a load of corny crap.

"peace and low taxes"

yeah right and all the jihadists will just pack up and go home.

All america has to do is stop pissing people off and the Islamists will end their 1400 year war with the west and stop trying to take over the world. lol

Oh yeah and buying drugs does support terrorism and cause massive suffering in the countries they are produced in and the countries they come through.

No matter how much you want them to be legal or try and absolve yourself from the consequences of your actions you are funding murder by purchasing illegal drugs.

You are responsible for the consequences of your actions regardless of whether legalising drugs would be the right thing to do or not.

selfish, petulent druggy scum, fuck off.

If they were legal they would be produced here you tool.

Once again someone trots out the ill researched claim that the harm drugs cause is the result of the drugs themselves, rather than their legal status.

Not at all, my argument is that if you buy today, with the law as it stands you are funding murder.

I can see there are strong arguments for legalisation but that does not absolve users of responsability for the suffering they are causing by buying drugs today.

Anon, out of curiosity, where do you think oil money goes?

Also, it depends on the drug. Not everything is produced in Afghanistan.

good point about the oil money.

the sooner we can get away from dependence on the islamofascists for our energy needs the better.

another argument for nuclear?
