Some things...

... , as I have found via Tom Nelson, simply beggar belief. For, whilst some of us were out toasting Fidel's resignation and (hopefully) his imminent death*, some total fucking arsehole was writing shit like this...
Fidel has earned his place in our hearts and in history. He was an ecosocialist before the word was known, and for his entire life has been devoted, in thought, word and deed, to the fight for a better world.

Climate and Capitalism has been proud to publish his reflections while he was Cuba’s President, and we are confident that he will continue his contributions as a private citizen of a heroic country.

Fidel, saludamos!

I should like to ask you all a question, if I may, by adapting the words of the ever-wise Obi Wan Kenobi: who is the more cuntish—the cunt or the cunt who follows him?

* And, yes, in accordance with my new resolve, I was sober when I left. And I was sober when I got home too.

They will rediscover Pol Pot soon, if they haven't already. Only when all are dead in a stone age wasteland will the eco-socialist dream be realised.

All equal, all dead.

Just goes to show: any old moronic fool can now post his drivel on the 'Net for the rest of the world to mock....

In writing about Castro on my blog, the only achievement I could place on him was his ability to make the CIA look like the Keystone Cops.

It is quite remarkable how many hopelessly deluded 'left-wing' people there are still on this planet, despite the utter and total discrediting of Marxism over the last few decades. Looking at the BBC's 'Have Your Say' page on Castro the number of posters (including a depressingly large number from 'the socialist republic of Scotland', I'm afraid) falling over themselves to praise Castro's wisdom, genius and ever-to-be-glorified heroism - despite people like me pointing out the utter poverty and isolation of the Cuban people, the prison camps full of journalists, dissidents, homosexuals, etc., and the 40,000 or so political executions in the last 50 years. What this all illustrates is the terrible damage that a liberal-left state education system and media have done over the last 30 years and more. Because Castro has a 'cool' image (like that other terrorist murderer, Guevara) and smokes a cigar all else is forgotten. And why the fuck do they all have to salute him in Spanish?! I suppose that's 'cool' too?! God - we really are totally fucked in this country, with a whole generation if not two brainwashed like this.
Incidentally, may I recommend an interesting book I came across lately called 'Plato's Children' by Anthony O'Hear, which is all about the delusional nature of current British culture? It's worth a read.

Well I liked him. And that nice Che boy. Lovelly they were. I won't hear a bad word sad about them...

Besides, the Spanish is wrong; it should be:

¡Fidel, te saludamos!
