A Memo To The Archbishop of Canterbury

The only way my wife is going into a burqa is over my dead body.
And if he believes 'Muslims should not have to choose between "the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty", he should resign forthwith and publicly convert to Islam, for he is too ignorant to lead an established church.

Who can rid me of this gormless cunt? (to paraphrase Henry II) Presume only Her Maj, as Defender of the Faith. Because in that capacity if she doesn't sack him, she's not doing *her* job. Reality, I presume, is only the government, so obviously we can't expect relief from that quarter.

This guy is so dismal it's hard to believe he's not a wind-up merchant having some fun. If a muslim in certain Sharia Law states - let alone a muslim cleric - came out with anything remotely like this, that'd be his lot. Certainly stoning or beheading's too good for this twat.

"Dr Williams told BBC Radio 4's World at One that the UK has to "face up to the fact" that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system."

Well, he's right that we have to face up to it - I suspect he's wrong in the conclusion he draws (that we roll over in appeasement)...

"Dr Williams says the argument that "there's one law for everybody... I think that's a bit of a danger"..."

Anyone who doesn't like the laws here can fuck off - and take the Archbish with them too...

The problem is that two legal systems equals two nations. This is the exact opposite of community cohesion and even the clueless socialists must realise.

What Rowan Williams thinks he's doing in supporting the emergence of two states in England - one run by a religion that he is directly opposed to - is beyond me.

This scumbag had better start wearing a bullet/stab proof vest because if this evil sharia law comes about I am going to make sure that fuckface Williams finds out the hard way that there is no 'sky fairy' up there after all.
I have now had enough of these traitors and I feel sure that there will be more like me 'coming on stream' every day!

The Archbishop of Canterbury is a gutless spineless treasonous PC Muslim arse licker. I for one would rather strap a bomb to me and blow the fuckers up than live under a medieval despotic Islamic regime.

Apologia

Your humble Devil apologises for his lack of posting: it has become increasingly difficult to actually put quill to vellum, as it were.

It's not purely that the political situation is rather uninspiring, it is also that I have become very much out of the habit of writing (about politics, at least). As such, every time that I fire up the blogging screen, I feel an incredible weariness.

I asked Pete to blog here because I thought that contemplating the actual mechanics of leaving the EU was important: I wanted to know, as much as anything. My reasons for voting Leave are actually very similar to Pete's, i.e. the rebooting of democracy and power structures in this country: however, he has a knowledge of the intricacies of the technical aspects that is beyond mine and I thought these worth setting down, here, for the record.

I shall try to post a little more frequently going forward. But, please, be warned that the reasons for eschewing this format haven't really gone away. My…

Gove's legacy?

Michael Gove has, quite honourably, said that it was right for Theresa may to sack him as a minister...
"I had six years when I was a government minister. I had a chance to make a difference - I hope that I did."The reforms that Michael Gove made in his time as Education Secretary will come to be seen as the most significant improvements to the British education system since the late 1800s—particularly in the introduction of Free Schools.

Gove made a difference—and his contribution should never be forgotten.
