Responding to comments may take more time than usual as Blogger seems to have decided, at some point yesterday and for reasons unknown, that it is not going to email them to me anymore.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Yup. Being a somewhat lower traffic site than your Satanic Majesty, I didn't notice until I went to Dashboard to update a post.

Yep. I'm also of a rather lower traffic site, but according to those leaving comments, not only is blogger not emailing notice, but it appears to be eating some (who knows how many) of the comments that people are leaving. Could it be linked to the problems with hotmail? I'm not very techy, as you can probably tell! Bendy Girl

Hmm, I am now getting one or two through in the email: I got Bendy Girl's comment above, but not SE's.

Irritations galore...

Seems to have started back up for me, too. That makes 2 comments in a morning (or, at least, a pre-lunch) :) Chortles off with glee.

I nearly had a heart attack when I discovered that somebody had commented on my blog! But I didn't get an email.

We had a really bad dose of this problem for a few months, but they seem to have fixed it over the last 2 weeks...

It got quite so bad we had to come up with an alternative notification system - so we set up a global comment-feed that piped through feedburner, and channelled that back to the front of our site.

The problem you describe is exactly what we had, and Blogger were useless. I would suggest comment-feeding to an RSS that feeds to your email address solve it, but then you're still using flint-handaxes on that one.

I think it's working again now.
