I feel that I should point out that the news of Dr Crippen's death is, fortunately, somewhat premature. The good doctor is merely somewhat busy and he has just had enough of blogging for the present.

He may be back: he may not. We shall see...

UPDATE: seriously, guys, The Truth has now got his boots on and will be seeing you all shortly...

Thanks for this post, I really hope the news of his death is just a sick "joke."

The good doctor is, I assure you, very much alive and kicking.

I was pleased to hear this too!

so does anyone know the identity of the sick fuck that posted the genuine-looking death notice ?

Wouldn't it be wonderfully ironic if, by some cruel twist of fate, Dr. C was the one that had to make the call on whether to switch off his/her life support !

Thanks for the clarification.

Was feeling rather upset about it.

What kind of utter twat spreads a rumour like that?

The sort of utter twat, maybe, who is quoted in the most recent post on Dr.C's blog confessing to all. Best of all, a nurse. Round up the boys, I feel a lynchin' comin' on!

Great stuff "Dr P"......the blogsphere is indeed, a weird and wonderful place.

According to Christopher Hitchens I have a right to hear the voice of the lone heretic [see his item on youtube, type in free speech and you should be able to link to it].

You, my demented friend, prove that Hitchens is absolutely correct, and that the world would be a duller place without a regular dollop of bad taste.

I'm calling bullshit on "Dr P" actually being a nurse. For one thing, the only other factual claim by "Dr P" turned out to be 100% bollocks. Also that line about nurses having to get off the computer "when some preteen SHO needs to check her facebook" simply doesn't ring true to me. Most SHOs wouldn't be so rude, and most nurses wouldn't get off the computer while typing patient notes just because an SHO wanted to look on Facebook.

I think I've now said all I want to say on this subject over on Mental Nurse.
