Princess Toni has confessed (no, not to that).
Tony Blair avoided talking about his religious views while in office for fear of being labelled "a nutter", the former prime minister has revealed.

Well, yes, an atheist like myself might indeed label someone who believes in god "a nutter". But, Toni's a special case: is being called "a nutter" really worse than being labelled a warmonger, a poodle, a liar, a charlatan, a murderer, a hypocrite, a fool, and a total and utter cunt?

Methinks that man has skewed priorities. Who knew...?

There might even be one or two in the UK who condemn Blair as a nutter without making any reference whatsoever to his "religious" side ....

I really don't get this - does he want me to think he's done something noble, here? I mean, he's said that his religious views did influence his behaviour whilst in office, which is fair enough, but he neglected to tell the electorate that.

Either he has such a low opinion of his own religion that he feels expressing his faith would make him a laughing stock, or he has such a low opinion of the electorate that he feels concealing important information is somehow justified.

It's like when politicians are caught doing something dodgy; they do the 'honourable' thing and resign, but only if they're found out. It'd be more honourable to resign before they're found out.

It'd be a damn sight more honourable not to do something dodgy in the first place...

The difference between Blair and Brown? Brown is a worthless, dishonest, childish little coward. Blair was a worthless, dishonest, childish, cowardly little genius.

Not to mention that he went against the principles of his supposedly Roman Catholic faith at almost every opportunity.
