Witanagemot Winner

Your humble Devil is very pleased, and flattered, to announce that he is a winner of a number of awards in the Witanagemot Club Political Blog Awards [PDF] (although not on Iain Dale's scale!).

The Kitchen was the winner in the following awards:

Best Minor Party Blog (and another site that I set up, Independence Home, came third). It's nice to see UKIP winning something...

Best Libertarian Blog

Best Anti-EU Blog

Best Blog Design

Blogger Most Likely To Be Suffering From Tourette's Syndrome

The Kitchen was second in the following awards:

Most Vindictive Political Blog (second to Guido)

Blogger With The Best Sense Of Humour (second to Theo Spark)

From a personal point of view, I am most pleased with the Best Libertarian Blog award, as there are so many fantastic writers of this ilk out here in the UK blogosphere. From a professional aspect, I am obviously very happy with the Best Blog Design award.

I would like to thank everyone who voted for The Kitchen and, of course, all of the contributors who keep this place ticking over when I am otherwise engaged—one of whom actually does suffer from Tourette's Syndrome.

Anyway, I would also like to apologise for the infrequent posting over the last few days; I am afraid that I have been busy trying to ramp my drinking tolerance back up to Edinburgh Fringe levels and my liver has packed its bags and left.

So, on with the politics!

UPDATE: don't forget to send in those Top 20 Lists to Iain Dale...
