Via Iain Dale, this news of a new Tory Communications Director.
Andy Coulson, the ex-editor of the News of the World, is expected to be appointed Director of Communications for the Conservative Party.

The News Of The World editor? Oh, fan-fucking-tastic. So we can expect some really mature and considered political discussion, eh?

Fucking hellski.

Would that be the same Andy Coulson that resigned as editor of the NOTW when one of his hacks was imprisoned for tapping the phones of members of the royal family?

Looks like the all new more-labour-than-labour Conservatives have got themselves their own Alisdair Campbell.

Andrew Field is right; Alistair Campbell was just another nasty little gob-shite, writing crap for the red-top tabloids. Now the Tories have their own member of her Majesty's gutter press to bully, cajole and smear those who dare to disagree with them, no matter how mild the critcism.

They truly are Blu-Labour.

This is f***ing brilliant - there'll be lovely topless blonde girls on Page 3 of Tory manifesto leaflets!

Of course, the Tories hated Campbell and all he stood for (witness Howard v Campbell on Newsnight).

Now they've got their own Campbell replica they're all clapping like seals. Who knew they were so desperate?
