Former Russian President Boris Yeltsin has died, the Kremlin says.

Mr Yeltsin was 76. The cause of death has not yet been announced.

Vodka shares plummet.

Savonarola said...: Yelstin was many things but not a 'Communist' bastard. He opposed Gorbachev's view that communism could be reformed. It had to be killed outright. This he did - crudely.Sadly he was an alcoholic according to one of his translators, a friend of mine.
