An email correspondant helpfully points out that I am the proud owner of a Googlewhack result.

The question now remains: why on earth would you type that into Google?

I should think it was fairly clear - those two words are a collocation and go naturally together. Anyone can see that.

i'm afraid it is not
actually a googlewhack.
exhonerating isn't a
real word. the correct
spelling has no 'h'.

PS, you're a nobshaft.
lots of love. turlygod.

Given the diabolic pleasure you take in pointing out grammatical errors and mis-spellings on other peoples' blogs, I am glad thom got in first. I couldn't have resisted.

Perhaps you should try the new Firefox, with integral spell-checker, your Infernal Majesty? Or maybe "exonerate" is not a word the Devil really needs?

PS thom, wouldn't that be "knobshaft?"

I was trying to comment on an earlier post in which you , from the safety of you middleclass poncey gated flat somewhere in West London , recommend that all drugs are legalised. Christ knows what the dotty octogenarians of UKIP would make of that but then life is often full of paradox.

The rest of it I liked agreed with and laughed at. So one teeny demur is not so bad really

Cheerio

My dear Newmania, I live in Brixton and, yes, I do think that the harm done by drugs being illegal is far greater than would be the cost of making them legal, regulating and taxing them.

Totally off topic, but did you see that Polly Toynbee won 'columnist of the year' at the press awards last night? I expect a swear-filled response...
