I have written before about HMS Ulysses and what a very fine book it is: fiction based on well-researched fact. It is about the Arctic convoys, one of the most hellish postings of the second World War (especially for the poor souls of convoy PQ-17), that carried weaponry, oil and armaments from the US and Britain to Russia.

The convoys mainly consisted of Merchant Navy ships and one of Martin Kelly's relatives was probably on one of them; he'd like to trace him. So, anyone got any leads or ideas?
