At the end of September, Frank Chalk wrote a letter to Alan Johnson (Education Secretary) which I cannot reproduce here (because of a somewhat draconian copyright message from his publishers) and cannot link to either (since links seem to have been removed from individual posts).

The gist of the letter is that schools are shit, discipline non-existant, many of the pupils disruptive and the wide range of ability ensures that teachers are largely unable to do their jobs. Frank then asks whether the NuLabour considers is record to be:
  • Good

  • Satisfactory

  • Poor

Where is the "an absolute cunting disgrace with your actions—or lack of them—in this matter being totally, fucking unacceptable failing, as they do, thousands of children a year" option?
