Phrase of the Week...

... comes from Peter at Public Interest, in a fisking* of dearest Polly.

So today's insult of joy—when I said "phrase", obviously I meant "insult"—is, in the penultimate sentence of the article, "elk-eating egalitarians". Lovely assonance...

*Can I use the word "fisking" here? It's not really fisking, as in pointing out a ludicrous piece of moral equivalence. Putting the boot into the boot, sorry, Polly, isn't hard; it's just pointing out stupidity and bad writing. Has any one person in the history of the world ever been so wrong, so consistantly? And do The Guardian hire her in order to provide themselves with some hilarity; do even the Lefties editing that paper sit, sniggering, as Polly's latest copy comes down the wire?
